We are thrilled to share that Prof. Zhiping Lai, founder of Lithium Infinity LLC (Lihytech), represented Lihytech at the 2025 Future Mineral Forum in Riyadh, where he signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aramco to collaborate on lithium extraction from oil-field produced water. As part of the collaboration, Lihytech demonstrated the successful extraction of over 10 liters of industrial-grade, ultra-high-purity lithium carbonate from produced water using its innovative technology. The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of H.E. Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef, the Kingdom's Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, along with representatives from Ma'aden and KAUST.
During the forum, Lihytech also hosted a panel discussion on the transformative role of advanced technologies in driving the lithium revolution within the Kingdom. The discussion highlighted Saudi Arabia's potential to become a global leader in lithium production and battery manufacturing, showcasing the impact of our research in sustainable resource extraction. Additionally, Lihytech showcased the latest technological advancements at a booth, demonstrating the real-world applications of our innovative solutions. These achievements highlight the alignment of our research with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals.
